UPDATE: Telus will ALSO be seeing the iPhone next month. You can check out the details on its website. That means Canadians can get the iPhone on all 3 major carriers.

It’s been rumoured for months and this morning it’s official. Starting next month (November) Canadians will have another choice when it comes to which carrier they want to use with their iPhone – Rogers or Bell.

In a news release this morning, Bell confirmed what many had been speculating.

Bell and Apple have reached an agreement to bring iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS to Canada this November. To learn more about Bell’s new 3G network, please visit bell.ca/network or bell.ca/reseau.

It will be the first time Bell has offered Apple smartphones, which have only worked on the Rogers wireless network. It’s been anticipated for months that Bell and Telus would begin offering Apple smartphones once the two phone companies rolled out their new wireless networks. Bell announced Monday that its new high-speed wireless network will be ready across the country in November, ahead of its original deadline.

So what do you think? Will this mean better pricing here in Canada? Are you going to switch carriers? Let me know with a comment.
