Fail

If you’ve been trying to visit my blog over the past couple of days you’ll know there have been some problems. I started having server issues. It would take forever to load the blog and I couldn’t log in. I kept getting messages that I could not connect to the server or the server is not responding. I contacted my hosting service and they started working on it. We thought it was fixed late last night but I was still unable to log in this morning. So after a couple more e-mails I can say everything is back up and running.

I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating it’s been not being able to update my blog. If you’re following me on twitter you’ll know how frustrated I was. Rest assured, I am still here and I’ll have new blog posts very soon.

iPhone3gs

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll know I’m on my third iPhone 3GS. Just a quick recap. Phone 1 had cracks on it right out of the box. The WiFi on phone 2 stopped working. And now it appears phone 3 likes to randomly turn off, and won’t turn back on for a minute or so. This is becoming increasingly frustrating for me. How is it that I’ve managed to get 3 straight iPhone 3GS’ with problems? Am I just that unlucky? Am I technology cursed? Or is there a manufacturing problem with the 3GS’?

Yes, my original iPhone 3G had a problem with randomly not wanting to turn back on, but it was replaced and has worked fine ever since. So really, I’m on my fifth iPhone right now.

I don’t know what to do. I’m still in my first 14 days of owning the iPhone 3GS. I’m thinking of returning it to the Apple Store again and just asking for my money back and then buying a new one in a couple of months. Maybe there are a few manufacturing problems right now that need to be sorted out – so if I wait a month or two maybe I’ll be able to get a phone that works.

What are your thoughts? Should I get my 3GS replaced and try my luck for a forth time? Or should I just return it for a refund and wait a couple of months?

dev-teamIt’s no secret Apple doesn’t want you modifying your iPhone or iPod. They’ve gone on record saying it’s illegal. Well a visitor to Meador’s Musings pointed me towards the Apple website where Apple now talks all about the potential problems associated with jailbreaking and unlocking your devices.
