While ultrasn0w’s worked perfect for me on my iPhone 3G since I installed it, a quick scan of the internet shows it’s not all smooth sailing for every 3G and 3GS owner. So to help users out, the Dev-Team has released what it calls Ultratips.
First he wasn’t happy with the Dev-Team for withholding the iPhone 3GS jailbreak – now the original iPhone hacker isn’t all that impressed with ultrasn0w – the Dev-Teams unlocking program. So what do you do when you’re hacker – you release your own software.
It was going to happen, I just didn’t think it would be this soon – although I shouldn’t be surprised. A couple of hours ago The Dev Team updated redsn0w and ultrasn0w. The big change is that the redsn0w jailbreak now works on the iPhone 3GS.
Just days after Purplera1n was released for Windows users – the iPhone 3GS jailbreaking program is now available for the Mac. You can download Purplera1n here. Once jailbroken you can unlock your 3GS and use it on any GSM carrier with ultrsn0w. Please use it at your own risk.
